WHAT ///

TRANSMISSION is a workshop for actors, directors & writers -- a weekly gym class keeping all your creative muscles moving & challenged. Develop new skills. Expand your network. Work with different Actors, Directors, Writers, Teachers, Casting Directors and other fab industry professionals every week. Work on new scripts, cold reads, scene study, monologues, voiceover, improv, sketch comedy, radio drama, prep for upcoming auditions, showcase solo material and lots more.
 
Each Monday evening session is an explorative but structured 4 hour intensive workshop.

WARM IT UP (First 30 Minutes)
We start with a led warm up, getting everyone moving, talking, listening and in the space together. Expect improv, games, movement --like the good old days of theatre school – woo hoo!

DO THE WORK (2.5 Hours)
Solid work with guest director, teacher or writer who will shape and lead session in their own style.

POWWOW (15 Minutes)
Talk to the peeps you’ve been working with the last 3 hours. Talk shop!! Upcoming castings? New projects? Agent issues? Advice?….Eat something, drink something, smoke break for the dirty smokers etc.

SOLO (Final 45 Minutes)
Work on pieces for upcoming auditions, new monologues or something new you’ve written. Be directed/redirected by guest leader or get feedback from peers. Sometimes you just want to air something publicly for the first time, with no feedback. That’s fine too.

WHY ///

We need TRANSMISSION. As artists we need a place to go to continually work, train & grow. There is a void in training options available to the working professional here in London. At present no one in the city is offering an affordable, drop in style, broad focus workshop for actors -- until now.
 
We are a 'drop in' workshop. Though there will be a weekly commitment requested, there is no commitment to sign up, pay a load of cash and attend for months at a time. Come out & play. If you like it, come back...maybe tell a few friends. If you don’t like the sound of an upcoming class. No worries. Skip that one.
 
With a constantly rotating cast of actors,writers & directors we are guaranteed to get in the ring with new people each & every week. We think this is a really good thing.

AUDITORS/OBSERVERS

Observers are welcome too!! Sometimes you can learn just as much watching others hard at work.

Drop-in to any Monday evening session, observe the workshop and have the option to participate in 'Solo' towards the end of class.
